I have provided technical guidance to the Inter-American Development Bank and Inter-American Investment Corporation related to environmental safeguards compliance for major infrastructure projects throughout northern South America, including Ecuador, Guyana and Peru. Projects in which I specialize require time-sensitive, technically challenging research on aquatic biodiversity, including the planning and execution of logistically complicated last-minute biodiversity surveys, reliable taxonomic identifications of poorly studied faunas, detection and capture of rare species, and the quantitative delimitation of critical natural habitat. In addition to this international experience, I have provided similar expertise to the United States National Park Service, the Texas Department of Transportation, and the Canada Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
